We take x-rays when necessary to hep us identify problems and treat them before they become serious.  Besides detecting cavities, x-rays help uncover cysts, abscesses, tumors and even gum disease.  They  also help identify malformed or impacted teeth.

Dental x-rays are quite safe today, thanks to high speed film and special equipment.  You can be assured we have your best health interest in mind.

Certain patients need to take an antibiotic before they have any dental work done.  The medication they take reduces the risk of infection these patients otherwise would face.

You may need premedication if you have had recent cardiac surgery, heart mummer, pacemaker, artificial joint and pin and/or rheumatic fever.  That's why we need to know your medical history.

When a tooth has been knocked out, call immediately and arrange to see us within 30 minutes of the accident.  Gently rinse the tooth in water, put it back in its socket, and if possible, hold it there until you arrive.  Or, put the tooth in milk and bring it along.  We'll do our best to restore it.
